Your first psychiatric visit lasts approximately 60 minutes and includes a thorough discussion of your symptoms, history, family history, and goals. Everything you share is confidential and protected by HIPAA. We may recommend medication, therapy, or both — and we will explain the rationale, expected benefits, and potential side effects of any treatment before you decide. Follow-up visits are typically 20-30 minutes and scheduled at intervals appropriate to your treatment plan.
